The Bitterroot Classic Triathlon™ started in 2005 with the vision of putting together a family-friendly, fun triathlon for athletes and participants of all ages and performance levels. In addition to wanting to make this event one of the most fun days of summer there was another goal. Find a positive, uplifting way to bring the community together in support of local organizations that help families in need throughout our community.
By the end of 2011, the event's 7th year, the Bitterroot Classic Triathlon™ had already raised and donated over $70,000.00 towards this goal. The event has always been put on by a huge 100% volunteer support effort of people and businesses in the community.
